DS Can you tell our readers a bit about yourself? G.A.B. I've been a freelance writer for the past 40 years.  Before that I worked for MCA/Universal Studios in a production capacity, and subsequently went on to work for a company called AIP.  We made low budget, exploitation movies like Vincent Price horror movies, Hells Angel motorcycle movies and Beach Blanket Bingo.  After that I chose to move to the other side of the desk and began to write for a living.  I sold a few screenplays and did episodic television.  I got into children’s television in 1980 and have over 300 writing credits.  I developed and wrote the My Little Pony series and Movie, and wrote the first 4 episodes of Transformers.  In...

Okay, so remember when you were little, watching the television or listening to music? Do you remember when it may have dawned on you that you did not necessarily see or hear yourself represented? So may be you don't... but those early childhood memories, although not always vivid, certainly silently sank in and helped to define us as adults. For many Gay and Lesbian adults today, we never saw other people like us on the television, and we certainly never heard our lives serenaded in the form of lyrics ( today's GLBT youths are growing up in a different world, thank goodness! ) But what about our children? What are they hearing ? What songs are they being sung ? What are they themselves  singing ? What is silently sinking in and helping to define them as adults? Cue Intro..... So I recently shared this image on my FaceBook Page  DADsquared . I can not begin to tell you what a HIT it has been. Now don't get me wrong, I personally think I am hysterical, and most of the original material I supply regularly is nothing shy of brilliant, :) But this image took the cake... and ate it up!
